Photography has been a passion of mine since I got my first camera as a Christmas gift when I was 12. Granted, it was only a Kodak 127 (remember those?) but it was mine and I could take all the pictures I wanted!
It wasn't for another few years that I got my first Canon 35mm SLR and fell even harder in love with photography. I went to photography school at the Art Institute and worked for a local photographer as a second shooter at weddings for several years. But being a single mom, I was unable to open my own business back then.
Fast forward to the digital age! No more film! I love it! I still use only Canon cameras and lenses. After working at a local retailer for many years, I decided to go back to to my passion of photography and open my own business.
I live with my two Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs, Joey and Winter. I've had Joey since he was a puppy and Winter is a rescue Swissy who I got when she just turned 3. We take hikes on local trails and visit dog parks often! I love spending time with my two Swissies! Winter is a certified therapy dog and 2 afternoons a week, she and I visit nursing homes and a rehabilitation center where she's very popular with the residents and patients. I also have two cats, Salem and Kodi both of whom are rescues.
